The Veteran Endeavor Team representing the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Mining Engineering Study Program participated in the International Competition organized by the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) in 2021. The competition is related to mine planning from technical and economic aspects. The competition was attended by 21 teams from all over the world consisting of Indonesia, USA, Canada, India, Serbia, Peru, Hong Kong, Brazil, Chile, Austarlia, Colombia and other countries.

UPN "Yogyakarta" is the only team from Indonesia. In this competition, the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Team had the opportunity to complete a case study related to mine planning made by the committee. under the guidance of a team of lecturers in the Mining Engineering Study Program, the team finally completed the case study well and had the opportunity to enter the final at the championship on the 14th of 2021 competing with 6 other teams who also entered the finalist. as for the countries that entered the final father, among them were Indonesia, USA, Serbia, Peru, Canada and India.
